Eagle eye books7/22/2023 One can’t read the Lord in them and He is not reflected in each page of their lives. But to those whose author is not the Lord, and whose works are not the working of the Lord, are certainly not His. It is only in those books who were authored by the Lord Himself that we can read Him. Not all of them we can read the life of Christ. But just like the literal books, not all of them contained Christ. And one day, He will be fully written and reflected on us.Īll human beings are books. And He is the One Who is still working on us (Phil. He is the one who wrote us, He is the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). Every one of those who do the will of the Lord is His epistle to be read by many. 3:2-3 that we are considered the epistle (book) of Christ “ written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. “ Ye are our EPISTLE written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the EPISTLE OF CHRIST ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.” If it’s not a literal book with literal names written on it, then what it is? Why is it called a book? How can our attributes be written on it? So if it is not our earthly given names which are written in the Book of Life but the real us, this means also that the Book of Life is not a literal book! It should be something where our attributes (the Real Us) can be written. We read in Philippians 4:3, Paul mentioned the name of Clement and his “ fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life” and we know that Paul does not mean that it was their literal earthly given names that are written in the Book of Life, instead it was themselves (the real them) who are written in the Book of Life. With this in mind, we are now ready to answer our main question: WHAT IS THE BOOK OF LIFE? We have known also that our NEW NAME is actually our new attributes or the New Us. We have known that a NAME in the Bible is actually the attributes of the owner. ( This is the continuation of the article entitled: WHAT WILL BE OUR NEW NAME? To understand this article better, I suggest to read first that article.) Python runner in html7/22/2023 The defer in the script tag is a Boolean value, used to indicate that script is executed after the document has been parsed. So we basically added it in order to write our Python with py-script tags The element itself is not rendered to the page and is only used to add logic. It can be used to define python code that is executable within the web page. I will basically do a Hello World Program from PyScript today, and I will be building small web apps, some scraping with it and other related PyScript tutorials in the near future as it gets better. To get started see the getting started tutorial but let's see how to use the three most useful tags now when using PyScript. PyScript is a Pythonic alternative to Scratch, JSFiddle, and other "easy to use" programming frameworks, with the goal of making the web a friendly, hackable place where anyone can author interesting and interactive applications. The PyScript framework provides users at every experience level with access to an expressive, easy-to-learn tool with countless applications. Pyodide makes it possible to install and run Python packages in the browser. Pyodide is a port of CPython to WebAssembly/Emscripten. PyScript is a framework that allows users to create rich Python applications in the browser using HTML's interface and the power of Pyodide, WASM and modern web technologies. It’s noisy but within that noise is beautiful sounds, brilliant songs. It’s difficult but never (or almost never) intentionally so. It is a perfect distillation of Reed’s musical approach. The song continued to feature in Bowie's live repertoire throughout his career. This definitive edition of the Velvet Underground‘s second album was in the works before Lou Reed passed away earlier this year, but to hear this album again, and to hear it in the context of all these fascinating extras, is to find the best way to honor Reed’s legacy. Bowie performed the song during his 1987 Glass Spider Tour, a live version of which was released in 1988 (re-released in 2007) on Glass Spider. With Bowie at the peak of his global stardom thanks to Let's Dance, "White Light/White Heat" was considered an unusual turn for the pop audience he had attracted, and reached only #46 in the UK. Despite this, the Ziggy Stardust – The Motion Picture project would be the first time the song had been issued on a Bowie record, and as such it was released as a single. It had featured throughout the Ziggy Stardust Tour (including a performance with Lou Reed on July 8, 1972), been recorded by Bowie for two BBC sessions, and been slated for inclusion on Pin Ups (the backing track from this session was later recorded as a solo version by Mick Ronson in 1975). (His album of that year, Hunky Dory, features a credit to the song for having inspired Bowie's " Queen Bitch"). A version he recorded in 1973 was released as a single in 1983 to promote the album Ziggy Stardust: The Motion Picture.īowie, a long-time Velvets fan, had been performing "White Light/White Heat" since 1971. The live version of the song from Reed's Rock 'n' Roll Animal was specially covered by Julian Casablancas for the HBO television series Vinyl. Two traditional-music influenced versions of the song were included on the soundtrack to the 2012 film Lawless, one by The Bootleggers featuring Mark Lanegan and one by bluegrass legend Ralph Stanley. The Guardian and Paste both ranked the song number seven on their lists of the greatest Velvet Underground songs. Reed went on to perform the song with several notable musicians, including David Bowie, Metallica and the Raconteurs. Reed also recorded a live version of the song in 1974, which featured on his Rock 'n' Roll Animal and Greatest Hits albums. The tune appears on numerous live bootleg albums, and the nearly nine-minute version included on the group's posthumous 1969 Live double LP is one of the album's centerpieces. "White Light/White Heat" was also a staple of the Velvet Underground's live performances from 1967 on. This bass solo purportedly mimics the throbbing, ear-ringing effects experienced during the methamphetamine "rush." The song is about the sensations produced by intravenous injection of methamphetamine and features a heavily distorted electric bass outro played by John Cale over a single chord. The song, much like " I'm Waiting for the Man", features a pounding rock-and-roll Barrelhouse-style piano vamp. The song's vocals are performed primarily by Lou Reed, with John Cale and Sterling Morrison performing backing vocals. "White Light/White Heat" was recorded in the course of the recording sessions for White Light/White Heat in September 1967 at Scepter Studios in Manhattan. Also in January 1968, the song was released as a single with the B-side " Here She Comes Now". It was released in January 1968 as the title track on their second studio album of the same name. " White Light/White Heat" is a song recorded by the American rock band the Velvet Underground. Frequently Asked Questions about the New NBME CBSSA Practice Exams: Often tutors spend time showing their students how the question may be slightly edited or reconstructed to reflect one of the other answers. Rather, successful and effective people will consider why each of the possible answer choices listed is right or wrong. Strong students studying for the USMLE don’t simply answer the question and move on. One of the key areas that our tutors spend time with their students is to show them how to most effectively review their NBME practice exam. Making use of these additional NBME CBSSA Forms (#25, #26, #27, #28, #29, and #30) could be a really important benefit for those students who know how to extract the most learning from these questions. Now that there will be several more new exams, a subset of students preparing to take USMLE Step 1 in the months of March-May will have the advantage of taking the old forms (before they are ‘retired’) and practicing with the new exams as well. In the past, some of the NBME forms were known to be particularly challenging, and often apprentices avoided taking it too close to test day in order to decrease the negative psychological impact of feeling one did ‘poorly’ on a practice exam right before the real thing.Īt Elite Medical Prep, we strongly recommend thoroughly reviewing the answers to these questions by using the enhanced feedback system available for nearly all these tests. Here at Elite Medical Prep, we strongly recommend that graduates complete at least 3 or 4 of the NBME CBSSA exams prior to taking their real USMLE Step 1.Īlthough the old NBMEs contain ‘retired’ questions, we have found through feedback from our many hundreds of learners, that these questions are often a very accurate representation of the types of questions they faced on their USMLE Step 1 test day.įurthermore, the scores on NBME exams are calibrated to match real scores on USMLE Step 1 (NBME and USMLE are essentially the same entity), meaning there is no better predictive tool available.Īs such, many students carefully consider the way that they use these exams.īecause setting up a detailed schedule is important for successfully covering all the testable material, scholars are often asking their tutors how should they schedule and spread out the NBME practice exams. This is a big deal for nearly every student preparing for Step 1. NBME CBSSA Form 25, Form 26, Form 27, Form 28, Form 29, and Form 30 will be released and the retirement of the old NBME forms will commence. The replacement forms are all being rolled out on March 24th, 2021. NBME 25- NBME 30: Which is the Best Predictor for Passing Step 1 The three minions names7/21/2023 Thankfully unlike your racist aunt, Illumination Entertainment has not used the Minions for nefarious purposes.at least not yet. Despicable Me 3 is at its core a thoughtless but entertaining jumble of sights, sounds and goofiness. And isn't that what this movie is ultimately about? To provide entertainment to children? While I don't necessarily condone families watching kid's films for their own sake (and this one in particular is all over the map as far as messaging), there's not really all that much to object about here. Parents will find these comedic bits more amusing than funny but the kids, the kids will be rolling up and down the aisles. Gru comes across three orphan children (Margo, Agnes and Edith, played by Miranda Cosgrove, Elsie Fisher and Dana Gaier). One highlight involves Gru and Dru driving around the Freedonian countryside in a golden-plated mean machine while police follow while riding literal pigs. Yet as far as inspired moments of slapstick, Despicable Me 3 supplies a little bit more than is to be expected. The fact that none of the film's insanity really coalesces into a compelling whole, only makes the film feel more like a mediocre sitcom episode than an actual movie. 3 where they are the main bosses of the first seven worlds of the game. The first appearance of the seven Koopalings was in Super Mario Bros. Left to right, Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, Ludwig. About half of all this busy, busy, business works at least as far as furthering the plot. Sprites of the Koopalings in Super Mario Bros. Gru bonds with his brother over Dru's desire to become a villain, Lucy fails, succeeds and fails again to become a mother figure to the three girls, Agnes, the youngest of the three tries to capture a unicorn, Balthazar Bratt sees his plans for world domination come to near-fruition and the Minions.well let's just say they have their own thing going as well. When the family lands in Freedonia, the movie descends into a series of fun but thematically incongruous vignettes. With nothing on their plate, Gru, Lucy and the girls (Cosgrove, Gaier and Scharrel), travel to the Mediterranean coasts of Freedonia to meet Dru. Fired by the new head of the Anti-Villain League (Slate), Gru and Lucy discover he has a twin brother named Dru (also Carell) whom their parents separated at birth. Of course it's to the detriment of neutering the refreshing mean-spirited-ness of the original, but hey, at least you still got those Minions am I right? Despicable Me 3 catches Gru (Carell) and newly minted wife Lucy (Wiig) trying and failing to secure the world's largest diamond from the hands of Bratt our flamboyant 80's themed villain. In-fact in may ways Despicable Me 3 is better than the original in that it improves its look-and-feel and provides a decent foil for once in the form of Trey Parker's Balthazar Bratt. It's not a particularly memorable film nor can it really hold its own against something like The LEGO Batman Movie (2017) but at least it's not unpleasant. As far as disposable sequels to kids films, Despicable Me 3 is pretty much on par with Cars 3 (2017). Who are giraffe predators7/21/2023 The characteristic pattern of dark patches on a lighter background – slightly different for each species – probably serves a thermoregulatory function, as the darker patches are rich in large sweat glands. “Camelopard” is an archaic English name for the giraffe, derived from Greek and referring to the giraffe’s physical similarity to a camel and the spotted, leopard-like colouration (from pardus, meaning “spotted” or “mottled”). Until recently, all giraffes were considered one species (more on this later): Giraffa camelopardalis. The common name “giraffe” comes from the Arabic word zarāfah, meaning “fast-walker”, but it is the scientific name that is particularly entertaining. Loose aggregations or solitary (with evidence of longer-lasting bonds) A picture-perfect journey of giraffes Quick facts Height: While we are far from knowing everything there is to know, recent scientific discoveries around their complex physiology and behaviours are endlessly fascinating. Giraffes are possibly one of the most intriguing animals on safari. Worse, it is only in the last decade that the reality of their “silent extinction” has made it into the public eye. They are perhaps one of the most under-studied large mammals in Africa, and scientists are only now beginning to unravel the secrets of their social lives and communication. Yet despite their rather significant stature, these quiet and unassuming herbivores spent much of the 20 th century flying under the conservation and ethological radar. Their leggy silhouettes have appeared in some of the most iconic images of the continent, hordes of tourists have marvelled at their outlandish shapes, and cartoon representations abound. In the knowĪs the tallest animal on Earth, giraffes do not exactly keep a low profile and probably need little by way of introduction. And perhaps nowhere is this more apparent than the giraffe, one of Africa’s most fantastical offerings. The peculiar, unique creatures on the planet have been shaped by innumerable overlapping conditions never again to be repeated – every living thing is the product of circumstance. Predators have been equipped with offensive weaponry, and prey species are similarly prepared to defend themselves in an eternal evolutionary arms race. Threats: Traditional hunting, poaching for the tourist trade and habitat loss have contributed to the declining numbers and, in some cases, the complete extinction of Giraffe from some areas of their former range.Millennia of evolutionary problem-solving have conferred upon animals a weird and wonderful array of adaptations from trunks to tails and patterned coats to thick fur. Lions, Spotted Hyaenas and leopards are the natural predators of young Giraffe. Newborns are kept away from the main herd by the mother for the first 10–30 days and weaning takes place by 13 months. These bulls compete with each other by swaying and curling necks. In the wild: Female Giraffe, or ‘cows’, mate with local dominant males, ‘bulls’. They also eat shoots, fruit and other vegetation. Because of their long necks they are able to eat the leaves from taller trees such as acacia and wild apricot which gives them an advantage over other herbivores. The Giraffe can have up to five blunt, short horns called ‘ossicones’.ĭiet: Giraffe are herbivores. Giraffes have a thick spotted coat and a long tail which is useful for brushing away flies. They have a long, strong tongue which is used to pull leaves from branches and is about 45 cm long. Description: The Giraffe is the tallest land animal on earth with a long neck that contains only seven vertebrae (just like humans!). |
